A new playground at The Parks will be opening this month, so join us to celebrate with a cheerful popsicle party on Sunday, August 1, at 4:30 pm. Popsicles are first come, first serve. Then, mosey down to the Great Lawn for Jazz in The Parks, starting with a children's performance by Baba Ras D at 5:30 pm. The new playground is right inside the Georgia Avenue gate, and features a berm, tunnel, sand box, and swings. 

Date: Sunday, August 1, 4:30 pm (followed by Jazz in The Parks and Baba Ras D. at 5:30 pm)
Location: The Parks playground, right inside the Butternut Street/Main Drive gate
How to get there: Biking, walking, and strollering is recommended, as parking on site will be limited.
