Home Rule Music Festival

The Home Rule Music Festival is a family-friendly event focused on the music and culture of Washington, DC. Legendary jazz artists and musicians will enliven the Great Lawn, with a plethora of fun activities including a record fair, local food trucks, craft beverages, and a finally, the premiere of a new documentary short film on Black Fire Records. Performances will feature Black Fire artist Plunky & Oneness of JuJu, legendary progressive jazz artists Doug Carn and David Murray, and the TCB Band. The event is produced by the Home Rule Music and Film Preservation Foundation.

Partners include HR Records, Capitol Bop, Black Fire, 202Creates, DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment, Anxo Cider, Everyday Sundae, Chuck Levin’s Music Center, Art of Noize, WPFW 89.3 FM, Denizens Brewing Co., Other Half Brewing Co., DC Odd Fellows, Blackfilm.com, and Upper Georgia Avenue Main Street. 

General admission is free; RSVP here. VIP tickets provide free drink tasting tickets, festival magazine, access to artists, Black Fire t-shirt, and access to the VIP-only area near the stage.
