Spring Celebration & Egg Roll: POSTPONED
The Parks at Walter Reed has postponed the annual Spring Celebration & Historic Easter Egg Roll due to the coronavirus situation. Please stay abreast of our future event offerings on our social media channels.
The Historic Easter Egg Roll is a celebration of spring and a morning of free family fun.
Hunt for thousands of Easter eggs, watch little tots roll an egg through the Great Lawn, and celebrate with the hopeful, cheerful “Harambee” tunes of Baba Ras D. Participants are encouraged to bring their own baskets!
Other activities will include face painting and hugs with the Easter Bunny and Dr. Bear from Children’s. New this year: Come ready to smile for a free family photo shoot with a professional photographer (first come, first served; one digital image per family).
Blankets and chairs will be available on the Great Lawn for lounging and watching the fun. Hot beverages and baked goods will be provided.
Sponsored by Children’s National Hospital and Whole Foods. Special thanks to Councilmember Brandon T. Todd and his staff for their support.
Details: All are welcome. FREE. 1010 Butternut Street NW (at Georgia Avenue and Butternut Streets NW); just a 12-minute walk from the Takoma Metrorail Station (Red Line). Limited parking is available on site and along on Georgia Avenue.
