Spring Celebration & Egg Roll
April 15, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Add to Calendar
Celebrate spring with friends and neighbors on the gorgeous Great Lawn at The Parks at Walter Reed – and this is our 100th anniversary for this historic event! The first spring celebration and egg roll was held in 1923, and we are keeping the tradition alive. This year, the event will be during happy hour time, with a fun DJ, moonbounce for the kiddos, beverages to purchase, and amazing local food trucks. Come prepared to hunt for eggs and get moving with games, relay races, yoga, and more! All are welcome to this FREE event, but RSVP is requested so we have enough supplies and eggs!
Time: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
3:15 pm: Brief program
3:30 pm: Egg hunt for 2 & 3-year-olds (bring your baskets)
4 pm: Egg hunt for 4 & 5-year-olds (bring your baskets)
Older kids will be able to participate in moonbounces and lawn games, with plenty of egg giveaways for prizes. All are welcome to this FREE event, but RSVP is requested so we have enough supplies and eggs.
What to Bring: Easter egg basket for kids five and under, picnicking wares, chairs, or blankets. If the ground isn’t too wet, we’ll have blankets and some chairs out, so feel free to bring your own and a picnic lunch.
