Red Bike Theatre Production by Pan Underground
On November 6, The Parks at Walter Reed presents a new theatre experience, Red Bike, by Caridad Svich. Produced by Pan Underground, Red Bike makes its regional premier, staged on bike and experienced like never before.
Red Bike is a play about being a child growing up in small town America and figuring out where you stand in a divided country, reimagined by Pan Underground as a community celebration within the landscape of Washington, DC. Part block party, part performance, attendees will gather for music, food, local vendors and community. The centerpiece of the event, an immersive staging of Svich’s play, will grow out of the celebration, made for and with DC.
Red Bike will be produced twice this fall against two distinct DC settings: first, on October 24th in the heart of Anacostia, and again on November 6th at The Parks at Walter Reed. Both events will center community and local businesses.
