NSO In Your Neighborhood is an annual residency that promotes cultural sharing, intentionally strives to have a social impact and uses music and art to better lives. This community engagement initiative offers free NSO performances, educational activities, and artistic collaborations for one week in specific D.C. neighborhoods. In 2021, the NSO is holding dozens of events throughout Uptown DC, primarily in Ward 4. Events range from full orchestra concerts and chamber performances, to in-school workshops, master classes and more, in collaboration with local and community-based venues. For a full line-up of the events held in the month of September, visit the Kennedy Center’s website.
