Happy Hours on the Plaza
With a delightful new Arts Plaza available right next to the dog park, it’s time for a new happy hour series at The Parks at Walter Reed! Join us Friday evenings this summer and fall to enjoy a drink, dance, and mingle. Don’t forget to bring a friend. The events are free, with beverages and food to purchase. RSVP is required. The first pour is on the house, with additional beverages and food to purchase. These events are recommended for ages 21 and up.
July 1: Rosé on the PlazaÂ
DJ Harry Hotter will spin the tunes, and locally owned makers organized by Neighbors DC will offer their wares, including Flower Girl Herbs, Tequeño World, Urban Gypsea Jewelry, and Mutani’s Pocket.Â
August 26: Salsa on the PlazaÂ
DJ Harry Hotter has the most amazing lineup of salsa musics, so bring your dancing shoes! Neighbors DC will again present delightful local makers, including The Bud Bar DC (bespoke flower arrangements), Tequeño World (Venezuelan cuisine), Hey Girl Hey Bodycare (skincare that works), and London Wick Candle Co. Anxo Cider will provide the beverages.Â

It’s time for a blast to the past! Come prepared to dance and mingle to all your favorite ’80s tunes as DJ Harry Hotter takes us back in time. Neighbors DC will again present delightful local makers, including Karmel’s Nectars & Liqueurs (drinks on site and to take home), Tequeño World (Venezuelan cuisine), Stars On Her Mind (handmade gifts inspired by nature), Patreats Boutique (bath and body products), and Kim C. Writes. Anxo Cider will provide the beverages.
