Dress for Success Donation Day
Dress for Success Washington, DC announces its DressED for Success Donation Day on Saturday, October 16 at The Parks at Walter Reed. The COVID-19 pandemic has had devastating effects on employment for women, and donations will help to meet the growing needs of women in our community. There are three ways to get involved and help empower women in the DMV:
DONATE new or gently used fall/winter women’s professional and business casual clothing and shoes. All donated items should be clean, wrinkle-free, ready-to-wear, on hangers and not more than three (3) years old. If it’s suitable to wear to a job interview or can be worn in a business setting, it’s what we need. The maximum number of cleaned and hung pieces is 25 per donor.
GIVE a monetary contribution that will be used to support and fund initiatives like the RED-Y Box, Virtual Career Center and Professional Women’s Group. Your tax deductible donation is an investment that will generate tremendous benefits not just for the women we serve and their families but also our communities. Click here to give.
VOLUNTEER to work with us on Donation Day! To ensure we have a successful event, we need people to help set-up/break-down, sort, organize and more. Sign-up for one or more of our two hour shifts. It’s a great way to get involved and make a difference. Click here to sign up.
