Fall Festival & Holiday Market

Celebrate the holidays with friends and neighbors on the Marketplace Plaza with our popular Holiday Market & Celebration. A complete list of amazing local vendors will be announced soon, and the event is early enough to kick off your holiday shopping.

We continue to partner with Housing Up on their holiday gift drive, which seeks to provide gifts to nearly 1,500 children in their permanent supportive housing program.​ Bring a gift from their wish list to the event (or make a donation), and we’ll have a wrapping station there where you can help beautify these gifts for children around the city.

How to Get There: Parking is limited on campus, so walking, scooting, biking, buses, and trains are recommended. The Parks at Walter Reed is a 12-minute walk from the Takoma Metrorail Station on the Red Line, and more than a dozen bus lines run up 16th Street NW and Georgia Avenue NW. Bike parking is available on campus. Parking is available in the Marketplace garage (near Whole Foods Market); map 7175 12th Street NW. Garage entrances are available on Elder and Dahlia Streets, right off Georgia Avenue NW. Limited additional parking is available in on-street spots; please follow the signage.
